Triiodothyronine participates in odontoblast differentiation of apical papilla stem cells through regulation of ERK and p38MAPK signaling pathways

Purpose: To investigate the effect of triiodothyronine (T3) in odontoblast differentiation apical papilla stem cells, and mechanism action involved.
 Methods: Apical unclosed permanent molars extracted from patients due to orthodontics impaction were selected. The teeth cultured isolation stage SCAP cells. cells exposed different concentrations T3. effects ERK p38 MAPK signaling pathways on activity alkaline phosphatase (ALP) determined. Calcium deposition was measured using a calcium determination kit, while expression BMP - 2 protein by T3 determined Western blot assay. Fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (FqPCR) method used determine mRNA BMP.
 Results: ALP activities significantly higher groups than control group. Relative control, there marked differences group, + PD group SB (p < 0.05). expressions BMP-2 increased 0.05).
 Conclusion: Triiodothyronine regulates into dentin through p38MAPK pathways. This provides underlying
